IVETE LUCAS

DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, EDITOR

Ivete Lucas is a film director, editor, and producer. She was born in Brazil and holds an MFA in Film Production from the University of Texas at Austin. She started her career in Mexico with a grant from the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE) to direct the short film ASMA, which was shortlisted for an Ariel (the Mexican equivalent of the Academy Award). Her short documentary THE SEND-OFF, co-directed with Patrick Bresnan, premiered at Sundance in 2016 and won jury awards at SXSW, AFI Fest, and the San Francisco International Film Festival. She directed ROADSIDE ATTRACTION, a documentary short that premiered at Toronto International Film Festival 2017. SKIP DAY, which she co-directed, premiered at Cannes and was awarded best short film. She co-directed, produced and edited PAHOKEE, which premiered in the Documentary Competition at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. She is currently in production with her partner Patrick Bresnan on a new feature film about naturism in Central Florida.

PATRICK BRESNAN

DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, CINEMATOGRAPHER

Patrick Bresnan is a visual artist and filmmaker. He was born in New York and received his formal education working for notable Mission School artists Clare Rojas and Barry McGee (a.k.a. Twist). He co-directed THE SEND-OFF, which premiered at Sundance 2016 and received awards at SXSW, SFIFF, and AFI Fest. He directed THE RABBIT HUNT, which premiered in the United States at Sundance 2017 and in Europe at the Berlinale. The film has won 20 awards including the Cinema Eye Honor. In 2017, his short film ROADSIDE ATTRACTION, co-directed with Ivete Lucas, premiered in competition at TIFF. Patrick holds a masters degree in Sustainability from the University of Texas School of Architecture.

MAIDA LYNN

PRODUCER

Maida is the founder of Genuine Article Pictures, a production company that supports non-fiction filmmakers with unique visions who push the form into new directions, with potential to create works the stand the test of time. She executive produced THE SEND-OFF (Sundance '16, SFIFF, SXSW, AFI Fest), and co-produced THE RABBIT HUNT (Sundance '17 and Berlinale) and ROADSIDE ATTRACTION (TIFF, SXSW). Her credits as Executive Producer include Sam Green's live documentary A THOUSAND THOUGHTS (Sundance 2017), the forthcoming THE HOTTEST AUGUST (d. Brett Story), QUEEN OF THE BATTLING BUTTERFLY BRIGADE, and ALEPH. Maida is the producer or the short film SKIP DAY, which premiered at the Directors' Fortnight and was released by The Guardian.

PJ RAVAL

CO-PRODUCER

PJ, one of Out Magazine's "Out 100" and FILMMAKER Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film," is an award-winning filmmaker and producer. His credits include TRINIDAD (Showtime) and BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (PBS). He was awarded the National Gay and Lesbian Journalist Association Excellence in Documentary Award 2016. PJ shot the Academy Award-nominated Best Documentary TROUBLE THE WATER, and is a 2015 Guggenheim Fellow. His new film CALL HER GANDA has received grants from The Ford Foundation, The Sundance Institute and a Guggenheim Award. It premiered to critical acclaim at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival.

LAURENCE REYMOND

CO-PRODUCER

After studies in Cinema and English, Laurence Reymond worked for film distribution companies in Paris: Ad Vitam as programmer and Le Pacte as film acquisition assistant and production executive. Since 2002, she has served as film critic for various magazines and websites (Cinéastes, Fluctuat.net). For seven years (2012-2018) Laurence was in charge of the short films at the Directors’ Fortnight selection in Cannes film festival. She has been a member of the ENTREVUES – Belfort international film festival selection committee since 2015. In 2017, she joined the French company Providences as a producer, to discover, develop, and support new voices in cinema.

MONIQUE WALTON

CONSULTING PRODUCER

Monique Walton has produced and directed short films and documentaries since 2004.  She produced the short film SKUNK (Directed by Annie Silverstein), which won the first prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival - Cinéfondation section and has continued to win awards and screen at festivals around the world. Her work includes short documentaries for Doing Innovation commissioned by the Macarthur Foundation and fitness filmS for The Fit Cycle and the American Heart Association. In 2015 Monique was a Berlinale Talents participant and received an Austin Film Society travel grant.
